Christopher Ngassam - Distinguished Teaching Career

Christopher Ngassam’s teaching career last for many years and he taught a variety of students from around the world in each of the several universities that he taught at. In addition, Ngassam taught private lessons for some time in the Middle East. Besides teaching, Ngassam is also a noted author, having published several articles in regards to his field. His work has been featured in economy and finance journals as well as in a variety of different classrooms around the world. In addition to teaching, Ngassam also was a consultant for the World Bank. While working with the World Bank, Ngassam consulted the Bank in regards to their involvement in the African economic world. He specialized in examining means by which to aid struggling African economies. Ngassam continues to be one of the most respected finance experts today.

A little bit more about Christopher Ngassam

Christopher Ngassam is a doctor of finance who attended the University of Illinois and University of Texas. His most noteworthy accomplishments include multiple teaching awards, multiple published articles, and of course a stay at the World Bank. Christopher Ngassam is a storied and respected expert in the finance field. He has grown to high status because of his extensive experience and education. Ngassam started off at the University of Illinois where he received a degree in management. He also went to the Illinois Institute of Technology where he received an MBA and then went on to the University of Texas where he received his Ph.D. Ngassam spent most of his career as a professor of finance at several universities throughout the United States. He also spent some time working in the Middle East teaching private lessons. Ngassam also worked for the World Bank for some time.

About Christopher Ngassam

Chris Ngassam (pronounce ghasam) is associate professor of finance at Florida A&M University s School of Business and Industry. Chris has taught graduate and undergraduate students for many years at several universities including Texas-Arlington, Delaware, George Mason, Norfolk State, Saint Cloud State and Virginia State. He also taught for three years in the Middle East where he successfully organized a two-weeks "Bank Risk Management" course administered for a fee to a group of twenty-seven senior Bank Managers from major banks in Oman and other Gulf Corporation Council countries. Chris is also an expert in international development and has served as a consultant for the World Bank with consulting assignments to several emerging economies of Africa. He has won many teaching and research awards and currently serves on the editorial board of several academic journals, including American Journal of Finance and Accounting, Global Review of Business and Economic Research, and International Journal of Applied Management Technology. His research publications have appeared in journals such as International Journal of Economic Development, The Review of Black Political Economy, International Journal of Comparative Management, and Finance Review. Chris obtained his BS in Management from the University of Illinois, Master of Business Administration from Illinois Institute of Technology and Ph.D. from the University of Texas. Married with three children, he speaks, reads and writes French fluently.
